Warehouse Associate

Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings, located in Belleville, is seeking a Part time ReStore/Warehouse associate. Habitat for Humanity in Prince Edward-Hastings has helped contribute to housing inventory for over 25 years. They have partnered with families, developers, contractors, volunteers, donors and suppliers to meet the growing demand for affordable home ownership

Job Duties: 

• Provide positive, professional interactions with customers – in person and on the phone – at all times
• Maintain a high standard for cleanliness, neatness, functionality, and overall presentation of the facility
• Ensure product is displayed and merchandised for optimum exposure and salability
• Ensure displays are updated regularly and kept current
• Generate sales and identify and capitalize on upselling opportunities
• Process daily point-of-sale (cash register or POS) transactions, including cash and credit card transactions
• Implement policies and procedures as specified by the General Manager, Retail Operations or delegate
• Undertake other related duties as identified by the General Manager, Retail Operations or delegate

Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to work within a team and independently
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, other staff members and volunteers (both verbally and in writing)
• Uses initiative with positive attitude and has a willingness to learn
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend the day on your feet in a busy retail environment
• Adaptability to changing priorities

Additional Information:

• Compensation: $17.20
• Job type: Part-time
• Schedule: 4 hour shift, 8 hour shift, Every Weekend, Monday to Friday, Overtime
