The Truck Driver is accountable for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. They are also accountable for working in the shipping department when there are no deliveries or pick-ups to be made.

Key Accountabilities:

· Safely operate an Isuzu truck to transport goods to designated locations

· Safely deliver and pick up materials from suppliers in a timely manner

· Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and securement

· Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including safety checks and maintenance

· Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations

· Communicate effectively with the Logistics Manager, Purchaser, customers, and shipping associates

· Report mechanical issues or delays promptly

· Monitor traffic and road conditions while making deliveries/doing pick-ups

· Accurately maintain logbooks and delivery paperwork

· Plan routes using GPS system

· Assist in the shipping department when there are no deliveries or pick-ups

Key Competencies/Requirements:

· G license

· Experience driving an Isuzu truck or something similar is considered an asset

· Previous verifiable experience in driving and ensuring shipments make their destination safely

·         Previous experience with forklift operation

· Clean driving record

· Strong attention to detail and time management skills
