Trenton Cadet Training Centre – Driver

Regional Cadet Support Unit Central is seeking a Driver.

Required Language: English Essential Experience E1

Experience required:

• Experience driving a school bus Ability and Skills
• AS1 – ability to communicate orally
• AS2 – ability to perform daily inspections of assigned vehicles

Personal Suitability:

• PS1 – Effective interpersonal relationships
• PS2 – Judgement PS3 – Initiative
• PS4 – Dependability

Asset qualifications are as follows:

• Education Successful completion of a grad 10 education or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
• AQ1 – Knowledge of WHMIS
• AQ2 – Knowledge of First Aid Operational Requirements
• OR1 – Willingness to work weekends and statutory holidays
• OR2 – Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions (i.e. heat, humidity, and cold)
• OR3 – Willingness to be on call during peak season
• OR – Willingness to work overtime

Condition of Employment:

• Enhanced reliability status; – Valid B class driver’s license
• Clean driver abstract required (current within 30 days);
• Must successfully complete and maintain DND 404 Driver exam and road test to be considered for employment; and – Candidates must meet and maintain the above conditions of employment through their employment.
