Survey Assistant

Gifford, Harris Surveying LTD., located on Glen Miller Road in Trenton, is seeking a Survey Assistant. This company is a medium sized land surveying company predominately in residential including houses and structure layout, who values continues training and learning to provide excellent service.

Job Duties:

• Assist with conducting surveys to establish and mark legal boundaries of properties, parcels of land, provincial lands, wellsite, utility right of way, roadway and highway
• Working with other qualified staff to ensure success.
• Mapping properties including boundaries and structures.
• Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment, global positioning systems (gps), and unmanned areal vehicles or drones

Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience in geomatics engineering or survey engineering is an asset but not required
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented
• Works well in a team environment
• Preference given to those with strong math skills

Additional Information:

• Compensation: $19-$25 depending on education and experience
• Job type: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30 pm
