Lunar Lymphedema and Massage Clinic is seeking a Full Time Registered Massage Therapist

Job Duties:

• Conduct initial consultations and assessments to determine clients’ specific needs, preferences, and medical conditions.
• Review clients’ medical histories and communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure safe and effective treatments
• Provide professional massage therapy treatments, including deep tissue, Swedish, sports, prenatal, and other specialized techniques tailored to clients’ needs
• Utilize various massage tools and equipment to enhance treatment effectiveness
• Educate clients about the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatment plans
• Offer guidance on self-care practices, including stretching exercises, posture improvement, and relaxation techniques to support clients’ overall well-being
• Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and any changes in client’s health status
• Ensure all documentation complies with the standards set by the College of Massage therapists of Ontario. (CMTO)
• Stay updated with the latest developments in massage therapy through continuous educations and professional development
• Adhere to the ethical guidelines and professional standards outlined by the CMTO
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Completion of a recognized massage therapy program accredited by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)
• Successful passing of the CMTO Certification Examination.
• Valid registration and good standing with the CMTO.
• Customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills

Additional Information:

• Wages: Option #1 – rent a single room for $1200/ month
• Wages: Option # 2- Commission split discussed in person depending on experience
• Hours: Monday to Friday- 9am-5:00 (Flexible)
