Property Maintenance Crew Members

Garland’s Ground Maintenance and Contracting has been serving the Brighton community and surrounding areas for several years now. We are seeking seasonal full-time / part-time Property Maintenance Crew Members who work well with others, take pride in their work, and can deliver a high standard of workmanship in an efficient manner.

Job Duties: 

• Provide ground support for trimming operations
• Chainsaw and chipper operation / loading brush
• Assist crew members in the site setup, debris removal, cleanup, and equipment maintenance
• Controlling road and sidewalk traffic as needed
• Cut and trim lawns, plant and maintain flowerbeds
• Operate and back up various trailers carrying equipment and supplies
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and public
• Abide by industry safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Valid “G” drivers license and transportation
• Capability to lift and carry 50 lbs; carry out strenuous physical tasks
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time
• Demonstrate the ability to think, work and make decisions based on sound judgement
• Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress
• Previous work in horticulture, lawn maintenance or landscaping experience
• Previous forestry / arboriculture experience considered an asset

Additional Information:

• Monday to Friday up to 40-50 hours per week
• Fast-paced environment with extreme weather fluctuations
• Wage $20-$25 per/hr depending on experience and qualifications
