Pet Care Specialist

Pet Pawsitive’s Luxury Pet Resort, located in Belleville, is a unique pet resort that offers all inclusive pet vacations for cats and dogs, along with daycare services for puppies and adult dogs. We only cater to socialized pups. We have a strong support team who strive for excellence care for both our furry guests & clients. We are staffed from 7am-10pm, 365 days a year.

Pet Pawsitive is seeking a Full Time dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join their team. This role is essential for providing high-quality care to pets in our facility, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and the ability to handle various pet care tasks while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners.

Job Duties:

• Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, exercising,

• Supervisor doggy play groups, while recognizing proper play behaviour and in appropriate play behaviour

• Monitor the health and behavior of pets, reporting any concerns to management.

• Maintain cleanliness in pet areas by performing regular cleaning duties.
• Assist with heavy lifting of pet supplies and equipment as needed.

• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and well-being.

• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both pets and staff.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of animal care techniques.
• Admin duties, supervising the daycare dogs
• Feeding and administering medications when needed

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and colleagues.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for moving supplies and caring for larger animals.
• Excellent observational skills to detect changes in pet behavior or health.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
• Scheduling services
• Mac computers experience an asset

Additional Information:

• Wages: $17.20-$19 per hour
• All shifts required, Day shift 7am-230pm, Afternoon shift 2:15pm-10pm
• Monday to Sunday
• Up to 44 hours per week
