Nighttime – Lead Line Cook

McGillicafey’s Pub & Restaurant is seeking a Nighttime – Lead Line Cook to join their team.

Job Duties:

• Perform duties on the main cook line for closing of the restaurant
• Be responsible for ensuring the proper closure of the kitchen
• Act as a SHIFT LEAD within the kitchen to organize the output of food to the restaurant and coordinate the salad/pizza line with the main line and the preparation line.
• Act in accordance with safe food handling
• Be comfortable with creating daily specials and features
• Be comfortable working within an industrial kitchen, including using a flat top, gas burners, ovens, smoker, fryer, mixers, knives etc.
• Prioritization of shift tasks is an important and necessary attribute
• Bring creativity to the team in the kitchen

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Must have experience working on a cook line while leading a team
• Mature and reliable team player
• Excellent time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Able to collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
• Must be team-player who is willing to assist where needed
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in a very fast-paced environment and work quickly and efficiently
• Prioritization of shift tasks is an important and necessary attribute
• Must be self directed and stay busy

Additional Information:

• Wages: Starting at $18.00/hour
• Shifts: Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
• Holding a current Food Handler Certification is necessary for this position
