Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Next Step Housing Connection requires a Coordinator to oversee its programs and services. This is a full-time permanent position working 35 hours per week offering vacation time, sick time, group insurance and pension plan.
Who We Are:
Next Step Housing Connection offers free housing support services to individuals (aged 16+) and families facing or experiencing homelessness in Hastings County, Prince Edward County and Lennox & Addington County.
Who You Are:
As a Coordinator for Next Step Housing Connection, you have strong leadership skills to provide positive and effective supervision to the staff of Next Step Housing Connection and are self-directed. You enjoy working with people and have excellent oral and written communication skills to support writing funding proposals. You have demonstrated proficiency with analyzing statistics, experience managing budgets, and knowledge of the local housing market, local community resources, and the Residential Tenancies Act. You are organized and detail oriented, have excellent time management skills, and can multi-task in a busy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership and direction to Next Step Housing Connection staff
· Manage the day-to-day operations of Next Step Housing Connection ensuring that programs and services are delivered in a manner that is consistent with funders
· Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff of Next Step Housing Connection
· Provide planning, development, delivery, and financial monitoring of Next Step Housing Connection to ensure attainment of program targets
· Prepare and submit funding proposals, required reports, and program documentation
· Collect, monitor and report accurate program data and statistics
· Represent the agency in the community promoting, developing and sustaining effective partnerships
Qualifications Required:
· University Degree in a social services field
· Three years of supervisory experience
· Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle
