Marina Yard Labourers (2)

The Marina Yard Labourer will assist in the boat handling tasks at Loyalist Cove Marina in an efficient and safe manner. This role involves assisting in transport, launch and haul out of boats, performing general yard maintenance to ensure the cleanliness of the marina, as well as in the storage yard and helping with customer requirements. In this role you will work closely with the Marina Yard Coordinator and other employees on handling of boats with yard machinery while adhering to safety and environmental protocols according to marina policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Assist with launching and hauling boats using specialized equipment.
• Secure vessels in storage areas and on docks.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of docks, buildings and in both yards.
• Assist with boat preparation for storage and winterization.
• Assist with general repairs and maintenance on marina equipment and facilities.
• Monitor and assist with dock equipment.
• Perform boat pump out & fueling services in accordance to safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service to marina clients.
• Assist customers with docking and transient slip assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by marina management.
• Fill out paperwork, checklists & other documents as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma and equivalent education
• 1-2 years relevant boating experience preferred.
• Should have a valid driver’s license.
• First Aid Certificate preferred.
