We are seeking to hire a Marina Attendant to join our team this Summer at PEC Harbour & Marina located in the heart of Picton. You are the face of PEC Harbour providing important information to visitors, working to enhance property presentation and cleanliness, managing daily operation of our marine services, and assisting with special events, all with the purpose of ensuring our visitors enjoy a world-class waterfront experience each time they visit. This job is ideal for anyone who loves being outdoors, on the water and building on their existing customer service skill set. An amazing daily view for those individuals who are passionate about people and outdoor tourism, and who thrive in a fast-paced team environment. This position is ideal for applicants that have some Marina experience and must be 15+.
If you have the required availability and are looking to be part of a team working in the sunshine this season, we’d love to hear from you. Watercraft and/or water safety experience is an asset, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide a superior level of service to all customers and visitors
- Assisting with vessels, docking, parking, directions
- Entering accurate customer details and updating databases as required in MOLO system software
- Listen and respond to calls on the VHF
- Invoice and obtain payment from customers for dockage, launch parking & merchandise sales
- Carry out parking lot checks and issue parking tickets as required
- Carry out all maintenance and cleaning tasks across the property ensuring safety and cleanliness for an exceptional guest environment. This includes, garbage disposal, gardening and grounds maintenance, lawn care, cleaning washrooms/showers & clearing parking lot and boat ramp of any debris.
- Complete all required training and certification necessary
- Carry out all duties in accordance with health and safety risk assessments, company rules and other guidelines
Qualifications
- Highly motivated, energetic with strong communication & customer service skills
- Collaborative and a team player
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, & flexibility
- Strong analytical skills required for accurate money handling (cash register, credit & debit machine transactions)
- Good health and an appropriate level of fitness to deal with physical demands
- VHF radio license, pleasure craft operator license, boating, Water Safety experience would be an asset but not required.
