Department: Food and Beverage Reports to: Executive Chef

Overview:

This position is responsible for food preparation and cooking of assigned sections in the kitchen. The line cook will work service and work safely, and using techniques that are supported at the hotel in a sanitary manner. The line cook monitors all product that is made in their section to ensure that it meets the Executive Chef’s exacting standards.

Primary tasks:

  • Willingness to work in assigned section and set up and stock food items and other necessary supplies
  • Works with the Executive Chef and management for scheduled resources, depending on business needs for the week
  • Prepares food items with techniques and recipes approved by Executive Chef
  • Cooks food items with techniques and recipes approved by the Executive Chef
  • Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
  • Cleans and sanitizes work area and kitchen at the end of the shift and during
  • Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs
  • Addresses immediate concerns and reporting larger issues to the Executive Chef and/or kitchen management

Qualifications:
