POSITION: League Operations Coordinator, Quinte Sport & Social Club

TERM: This is a Part-Time Position (starting immediately), with an opportunity to shift into a Full-Time capacity as the club grows

EXPECTED HOURS: Starting with up to 20 hours per week, primarily evenings (5pm-9pm), with some weekday and weekend shifts as needed. This role has flexible working hours, however, will require attendance in some QSSC leagues, special events and facility meetings with key stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The League Operations Coordinator will be responsible for league operations and executing promotional initiatives to drive awareness of the Quinte Sport & Social Club (QSSC). This person will be responsible for identifying and implementing these initiatives around the Belleville area, attending events, connecting with local businesses, and growing our community. The candidate is passionate about sport, and driven to build a fun, friendly sport community. The successful candidate will work remotely from their home office in Belleville, ON and will report to our Executive Director.

LEAGUE & FACILITY COORDINATION

• Assist with the day-to-day execution of league operations to ensure a high level of quality is achieved.

• Manage 3-5 onsite league representatives (game coordinators, evening league facilitators, instructors, etc). Including hiring, training and scheduling. Support provided by full-time Sport & Social Club Managers.

• Seasonal league creation, individual team roster building, scheduling, and playoff management.

• Resolving last-minute facility cancellations.

• Continually finding new facilities to partner with to offer QSSC programming. Support provided by full-time Sport & Social Club Managers.

• Input sport offerings and league information into League Lab (league management software), ensuring quality control for all league details on website prior to seasonal launch.

• Provide suggestions on new offerings and undertake research to ensure success.

PROMOTIONS

• Promoting QSSC to potential players in local workplaces, online, and around the community.

• Attending networking events and other promotional activities to raise awareness of the club. Support provided by full-time Sport & Social Club Marketing team.

• Identifying potential sponsorships and partnerships in the community that provide added value to players. Support provided by full-time Sport & Social Club Marketing team.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT:

• Passion for sport and the Belleville community.

• Preferred – Degree/Diploma in Sport Management/Admin, Business, or equivalent experience.

• Experience in sales, marketing, and/or promotions.

• Demonstrated leadership with good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for adult recreational sports.

• Ability to engage people of all ages and backgrounds.

• Ability to think creatively and develop unique strategies to engage potential players.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and networking abilities.

• Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).

• Technical aptitude in Microsoft Office Suite and website development tools.

• Ability to initiate and follow through on assignments with high attention to detail.

• A positive, friendly, and helpful personality.

• Knowledge and passion for multiple sports.

• Ability to lift 35lbs (moving sports equipment).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE:

• Part-Time Employee

• Hourly wage of $20 to start.

• Unlimited free play in sport leagues and tournaments

• Potential to shift into part-time or full-time role in the future.
