Junior Field Technician

Start your career by joining our team as a Junior Field Technician in the wireless ISP industry. The ideal candidate must be able to work outside year round, in all weather conditions. There will also be some in-office telephone technical support.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installation and servicing of wireless internet to residential and business customers
• Perform all installation functions associated with the addition, modification and removal of all technology equipment
• Signal testing, drilling and running cabling, terminating network Indoor and Outdoor Ethernet cable into RJ-45 ends
• Program and provision CPE (Customer Premise Equipment)
• Accurately complete work orders and process payments
• Comfortable working safely at heights due to extensive ladder work, manlift work, tower climbing and working on roofs
• Available to work overtime and after hours as needed
• Must be able to lift minimum 50lbs
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers in a positive and professional manner

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Strong computer and technical skills
• Operate power tools skillfully
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with a positive approach to customer service
• Well organized with good time management skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to new technology/industry changes
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma
• Post-secondary education preferred
• Safety Certifications: Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platforms
• A valid G-class driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
• Must be willing to provide Criminal Reference Check upon conditional offer

PPE REQUIREMENTS:

• Safety shoes
• Hard hat
