Inspired Cook

Bantam is looking for a cook to help with our busy summer season. It is a fun and fast paced environment offering a farm to table menu. We are looking for someone with a passion for food, good people skills and happiest when busy. The restaurant is located at Closson Chase Vineyards and offers lunch to both winery visitors and regulars.

The position is seasonal, starting in May. It would be ideal for a culinary student wanting practical experience. It includes weekdays and weekends and the very occasional evening event at the winery. We are offering competitive salary and tip sharing. Our hourly wage range is $18-23, depending upon experience.

Who we are looking for:

-A self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

-Candidates must have the ability to work on their feet for majority of work day

-Someone with Safe Food Handling certificate or equivalent

Duties

• prepare and cook menu items as directed
• follow recipes and preparation specifications
• monitor stocks and prepare or order as needed
• maintain and clean to ensure a safe and hygienic Kitchen ensuring sanitary conditions in all areas of the kitchen are priority
• dishwashing, cleaning and organising kitchen and stores

Schedule:

• weekends, weekdays from 9am
• very occasional evenings for events
