Health & Safety Coodinator

Next Level Directional Drilling Inc, located in Foxboro, specializes in underground telecommunication work, with emphasis on precision, safety, and efficiency. We are looking for an individual to contribute to positive safety-focused practices and culture.

Next Level Directional Drilling is seeking a Full Time Health & Safety Coordinator to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site visits across various locations to inspect compliance with health and safety standards
• Identify and assess potential hazards, unsafe practices, and compliance gaps
• Document findings in detailed inspection reports, including recommended corrective actions
• Lead and conduct thorough incident investigations to determine root causes and prevent recurrence
• Support the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans and protocols
• Liaise with management and site supervisors to address safety concerns and ensure corrective actions are completed
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, investigations and safety initiatives

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a health and safety role in the construction industry
• Certification in Joint Health & Safety Committee or National Construction Safety Officer is an asset
• Strong knowledge on Ontario health and safety legislation and regulations
• Excellent observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in report writing and maintaining detailed documentation
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with workers at all levels
• Willingness to be out of town at least (1) night per week
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Additional Information:

• Hourly Rate $25-$35, expected hours 50-60 per week
• Monday to Friday
• Benefits and Travel Compensation
