Grounds Maintenance

Perfect for high school or college students! St. James By-The-Bay is seeking a seasonal full time grounds maintenance assistant. This position is a student position, offering full-time work from May -September.

St. James By-The-Bay is an exceptional adult lifestyle community at the water’s edge, located in Belleville. We take pride in our beautiful gardens and luxurious townhomes that are carefully and meticulously maintained.

Job Duties: 

• Lawn maintenance using riding lawn mower, push mowers, weed eaters
• Weeding gardens, deck washing, window cleaning, cleaning pond sediment
• Dig holes using shovels and planting a variety of plants, shrubs, flowers, and trees

Qualifications:

• Must be able to follow instructions and work independently completing daily tasks
• Must be able to lift 50lbs, be capable of physical labour
• Able to work in various weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Additional Information:

• Full time Monday-Friday, 8-4 (35-40 hours per week weather permitting)
• Wage $17.00/per hr
• Safety work boots are required
• Training provided
