As the Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests receive outstanding service throughout their dining experience. You will lead a team of servers and support staff while maintaining high standards of hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest service, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Expected hours: 20-40 per week
Benefits: Discounted or free food; on-site parking
Schedule: 8 hour shift; Day, evening, morning shifts; Monday to Friday; Weekends as needed; Overtime

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to restaurant manager in charge
  • Oversee daily front of house operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of service.
  • Train, mentor, and manage the front of house team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Assist in scheduling staff and managing labor costs to meet business needs while ensuring excellent service.
  • Ensure that all areas of the restaurant and lounge are clean, organized, and well maintained.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and a focus on resolution.
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings to provide informed recommendations to guests.
  • Assist in creating and implementing standard operating procedures for service excellence.
  • Monitor and analyze service performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Smart Serve Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management or related degree is a plus.
  • Experience in Serving and minimum 1 year in a supervisory role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong understanding of front of house operations and service standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology, beverage preparation, and menu offerings.
  • Ability to handle moderate physical exertion; standing, walking, pushing, pulling, shoveling, and lifting items up to 30 kg.
