Part Time & Full Time – Experienced Body Shop Personnel for their busy Norwood, ON location.

JJ Stewart Motors, in Norwood, ON are looking for experienced Body Shop Personnel for their location.

Duties may include the following:

Core Responsibilities:

• Damage Assessment: Evaluating the extent and nature of vehicle damage, often based on damage reports or cost estimates. 
• Repair and Replacement: Repairing or replacing damaged body parts, including fenders, doors, and frames. 
• Surface Preparation: Preparing surfaces for painting, which may involve sanding, filing, and grinding. 
• Painting and Refinishing: Mixing paints, applying primers, and applying paint finishes using various techniques. 
• Glass Repair/Replacement: Repairing or replacing windshields, windows, and sunroofs. 
• Component Assembly: Bolting or welding replacement parts into place. 
• Shop Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including checking in parts and cleaning vehicles. 

Additional Responsibilities:

• Customer Interaction: Communicating with customers regarding repair progress, estimated costs, and final vehicle condition. 
• Part Ordering: Ordering necessary parts for repairs. 
• Insurance Coordination: Coordinating with insurance companies to handle claims and payments. 
• Quality Control: Ensuring repaired vehicles meet quality standards and manufacturer specifications. 

Skill and Experience:

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, and painting techniques. 
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, fellow workers, and managers. 
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and solve complex repair issues. 
• Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail is crucial for ensuring high-quality repairs. 
• Physical Stamina: Body shop work can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
