Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Employment Ontario Employment Services Program, known as Career Edge, requires an Employment Skills Coach to provide services in its Napanee location. This is a full-time permanent position offering vacation time, sick time, group insurance and pension plan.

Who You Are

As an Employment Skills Coach, you are a part of our Employment Services team and your passion for providing exceptional customer service contributes to guiding your clients to successful outcomes including obtaining employment opportunities, attracting and recruiting staff, and matching workplace requirements to candidate skills. While networking and marketing our services, you will communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging tone with a focus on empowering each client through the job search process and each employer through the recruitment process.   

You enjoy working with people, are organized, and can work effectively with a variety of software programs. This role will have you managing coaching clients and employers in their workplace, working collaboratively across all of our departments, completing data entry, following Ministry guidelines and referring clients to community supports and services.

Skills We’re Looking for:

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Previous experience providing workplace employment coaching

·         Strong case management skills including entering accurate case notes and maintaining organized files

·         Effective time management skills to meet timelines and targets by prioritizing tasks

·         Knowledge of the local labour market, community resources and labour legislation

·         Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, EOIS-CaMs, Email, Databases)

Qualifications Required:

·         University Degree in a related field preferred

·         Minimum of two years of related experience is preferred

·         Valid driver’s licence
