Master Submarine is seeking a Full Time Barista to join their team.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team.  As a Barista , you will play a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items.  Your commitment to exceptional customer service and attention to detail will ensure that every guest has a memorable experience.

Job Duties:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for order taking and payment processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils and dining spaces.
• Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting any shortages or needs to management.
• Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the food service or food industry is preferred
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
• Proficiency in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
• Ability to prepare food items with attention to detail and presentation
• Strong customer service skills with friendly demeanor, capable of engaging positively with guests
• A willingness to help others, both customers and team members, fostering a supportive work environment

Additional Information:

• This position requires the applicant to have successfully obtained the Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Rate of Pay – $18/hr.
• Full Time – 30 to 40 hours per week
