North American Transport Driving Academy in an industry leader in the training of safe and professional commercial drivers. Our process driven curriculum delivers results for our students and the transportation industry alike while improving road safety for the benefit of all that share the roads wit our graduates. Because of our responsibility to the motoring public, we are seeking a no non sense non compromising assistant branch manager.
There are no compromises in road safety, in protecting the safety of all those that share the road with our graduates and so the person that would be of most value to our organization is a person that has the strength and courage to ensure that all of our policies and procedures are reinforced through out the training process.
The Assistant Operations Manager will be an excellent problem solver and a quick logistical thinker. Working with our Operations Manager the successful candidate will drive performance, enhance the quality of instruction, and ensure that the branch meets North American’s standards for excellence in the truck training field. We have Branches in Belleville, Kingston, Ottawa and Smith Falls. This position is at our Kingston location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the Belleville North American training facility.
- Promote North American’s passion for quality instruction to potential students.
- Ensure the branch’s consistent performance and adherence to training standards.
- Staff Development & Management: Support hiring, training, and performance evaluations, ensuring alignment with North American’s safety and training focused values.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes, improve efficiency, and ensure consistent delivery of services across all locations.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all locations comply with North American’s proprietary curriculum, legal regulations, and North American policies and procedures. Maintain high safety standards for both customers and employees.
- Student Sales\On Boarding and Management: At all times promoting the values of exceptional training to potential new students and corporate partners looking to have staff trained at our Belleville Campus.
- Continuously communicating with potential students and customers alike to assess if there is any further assistance required.
- On board new students including ensuring the student contracts are completed
- Track student performance against measurable objectives and communicate any issues at the earliest possible occasion.
- Schedule staff and students through our on-line scheduling system (Shiftboard)
- Reporting & Communication: Provide regular operational reports to leadership, including performance metrics, customer feedback, and strategic recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, managing\scheduling at least 10 people and preferably in the transportation industry or a similar safety training focused business.
- Education:
- College Diploma in business administration or related field is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and drive operational excellence.
