Volunteer Opening: Donations Coordinator

99.3 CountyFM’s Volunteer Donations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the process surrounding financial donations from individuals and businesses that support the operations of our community radio station. This volunteer position also plays a key role in fostering strong relationships with donors and collaborating effectively with our volunteer team.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Tasks:

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all donations and donor information.
• Care for individual communication with donors and messages of appreciation.
• Prepare financial reports summarizing fundraising drives and for the annual audit.
• Manage the donation processing system and ensure compliance with regulations.

Donor Development and Cultivation:

• Manage our CRM system in terms of the donor database.
• Develop personalized communication plans with the GM and Fundraising Team to cultivate relationships with donors

Fundraising Campaign Management:

• The opportunity to assist in the design and execution of fundraising campaigns.
• Track progress against targets.

Donor Stewardship:

• Acknowledge and thank donors promptly and regularly for their contributions.
• Provide donors with updates on how their donations are being utilized to support the station’s programming.
• The opportunity to help organize donor appreciation events and recognition programs.

Skills and Qualifications:

Communication and Basic Bookkeeping Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with donors, build relationships and convey the station’s mission.
• Bookkeeping/small business skills are useful.

Relationship Building:

• Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate lasting relationships with donors.

Computer Proficiency:

• Use of Google Docs, Sheets, Email and Shared Drives.
• Proficiency in using NEON donor management software to track and analyze donor data.  *Training provided.

Passion for Community Radio:

• An understanding and commitment to the values and impact of community radio broadcasting.
