This position is full-time, 15 weeks, starting May 11th at $17.60/hours from 9am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Work in air conditioned comfort in our office in Picton. The computer you will use has 2 monitors and the latest in software. We have a fabulous team of staff and volunteers from whom you will learn a lot. The student will meet the public, clients, and volunteers, implement policy, assist with the operational procedures of the office and assist the team to live Community Care’s Vision: The freedom and dignity of choice; the comfort of home; a passion for volunteers.
Duties:
- Reception and field questions from seniors, caregivers, and volunteers
- Helping with fundraising, programs, and services
- Assist with online webinars and in-person events for our social/recreational programs
- The student will get a varied experience working in a busy not-for-profit environment where not 2 days are the same
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this Canada Summer Jobs position applicants must be: be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and, is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations
