The Friends of Bon Echo Park is a not for profit organization dedicated to preserving the natural and cultural heritage of Bon Echo Provincial Park. Greystones Gift Shoppe and Café is our visitor and camper supply shop and we are currently seeking a Store Manager.
Job Duties
- Monitor and report inventory levels
- Receive shipments, confirm order accuracy and quality of merchandise
- Unpack merchandise, enter and change pricing, scan barcodes, create price tags
- Create and maintain store displays frequently
- Seasonal store opening and closing procedures
- Collaborate with Student Team Leader regarding social media posts
- Responsible for general store and café operations and floor sales
- Operate Point of Sale System
- Decision making authority in store
Qualifications:
- Team Management experience considered an asset
- Retail experience required
- Back office retail experience considered an asset
- Previous experience working within the Park considered an asset
- Safe Food Handlers Certification required before store opens for the season
- Familiar with retail computer operating systems
- Ability to communicate and work with the public
Other Information:
- Must be willing to work weekends
- Staff are provided a complimentary Bon Echo Provincial Park Pass for the season
- Full time position
