Honey Pie Hives & Herbals in a small-scale, values driven farm-to-product business focused on sustainable practices, local food systems, and handcrafted goods. With passion for plants, pollinators, and community, we take pride in connecting our work from the field to the farmers’ market.

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Seasonal Farm & Market Intern to join our team for the 2026 seasons. The is a part-time, paid internship running from May 1 to December 15, 2026, offering valuable on-the-job experience in a small, sustainable farm business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values local agriculture, and thrives in a dynamic, physically active environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general farm duties, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops

  • Support beekeeping activities and pollinator care (training provided)

  • Prepare and help produce farm-based products

  • Represent Honeypie at local farmers’ markets, including setup, sales, and customer interaction

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Interest in sustainable agriculture, local food systems, or small business operations

  • Enjoyment of hands-on, outdoor work in varying weather conditions

  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical labour

  • Willingness to work weekends (required for market participation)

  • Valid Smart Serve certification (required)

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
