Sanitation Team

Sprague Foods invites you to apply to be a part of their team. They are currently hiring for a Sanitation Team Member on our evening 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday rotation, occasional weekend hours.

Major Duties include:

• Disassembly of food processing equipment, effectively clean and sanitize.
• Cleaning of all food processing and packaging equipment as per established procedures.
• Cleaning of building environment as per the established schedules.
• Disposal of non-recyclable and recyclable waste.
• Re-assembly of equipment to operational readiness.
• Accurate completion of daily report.
• Maintain a safe and clean assigned work area.
• Ensure compliance with all existing and new SOP’s, WHMIS, GMP, HACCP and BRC
• Actively support and initiate continuous improvements and demonstrate professionalism.
• Work carefully with care, safely and consistently, following protocol.
• Demonstrate care and attention to details.
• Work effectively with production and sanitation teams, following through daily.
• Discuss with team other duties as assigned when needed.

Job Specifications:

• Grade 12 education.
• Mechanical aptitude / able to use mechanical tools and demonstrate troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in preparation / sanitation operations would be an asset.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Operation maintaining a high degree of competency in these areas.
• Fork lift – an asset.
• Physically fit is essential.
• Lifting 25-50 lbs occasionally, +50 lbs with assistance.
• Range of motion – floor to above shoulder
• Walking/standing continuously
