Resort Runner/Night Maintenance

Located in the heart of Prince Edward County, Isaiah Tubbs Resort & Conference Centre offers a unique blend of hospitality, natural beauty, and exceptional guest experiences. Our team is dedicated to providing outstanding service in a welcoming and collaborative environment.

We are currently seeking a Resort Runner/Night Maintenance to support evening operations at the resort. This role is responsible for assisting guests with requests, completing general maintenance tasks, and ensuring the property remains safe, clean, and well-maintained throughout the evening hours.

Work Schedule: Seasonal work from the end of May to Mid-October. 3 days per week, 10 hour shifts. Working days, including weekends and holidays. Shifts will primarily be in the evenings but can sometimes fall during the day. Pay is $17.60/hr.

Runner Duties:

  • Bringing extra amenities to guests upon request.
  • Fixing clogged toilets/sinks.
  • Refilling Housekeeping closets when needed.
  • Minor repairs for doors and windows
  • Bringing fresh linens to guests and making beds upon requests.
  • Fixing minor heating/air conditioning/plumbing issues.
  • Aiding the Restaurant Staff upon request.
  • Replace light bulbs in guest rooms and public spaces when needed.
  • Aiding guests with luggage upon request
  • Delivering new room keys and fixing key card scanners when needed
  • Working together with both the housekeeping and maintenance department if they need help
  • Sweep common outdoor areas, removing debris/bugs.
  • Deliver room items, ironing boards, baby cribs, and rollaway beds to guest rooms upon request.
  • Collecting/Emptying full trash bins and disposing of waste in proper areas
  • Aiding the porters with Group set ups
  • Minor pest removal when needed

Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation to and from work is required
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Previous maintenance, heating/cooling, and plumbing experience is required
  • Being handy with basic tools and knowledgeable about general repairs is an asset
  • Punctual with strong attendance and reliability
  • Able to work well with others as part of a team
  • Personable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Able to interact with guests in a professional and service-focused manner
  • Able to follow instructions from front desk staff and work collaboratively to resolve issues
