The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association supports older adults to live well at home, stay active, and remain connected to their community.
We are seeking a Program Co-ordinator who is comfortable taking responsibility for complex community programs and coordinating the work of volunteers across Prince Edward County.
This is not an entry-level role. It requires judgement, administrative strength, discretion, and the ability to work independently with policy guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day community support and social programs
- Assess client referrals and complete intake processes
- Recruit, train and support volunteers
- Maintain accurate records and program data
- Prepare analytical reports
- Manage situations with professionalism and sound judgment
- Represent the agency confidently with clients, volunteers, donors and partners
- Load/unload program supplies and set up program spaces across the County
You will often be required to make decisions independently while adhering to established policies and procedures.

- Understands boundaries and confidentiality
- Can apply policies consistently and fairly
- Is not easily rattled by difficult conversations
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Understands what motivates volunteers
- Is comfortable in a small community where visibility and discretion matter
- Can juggle competing priorities without losing composure
Required Qualifications:
- Community college diploma or degree
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in human services or program coordination
- Experience working with volunteers
- Strong administrative and database skills
- Ability to interpret and follow policies and legislation
- Valid driver’s licence and daily use of a vehicle
- Clean Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Compliance with agency vaccination policy
