Personal Training Coordinator

Prince Edward Fitness and Aquatic Centre, a not-for-profit facility in Picton, Prince Edward County is seeking a Personal Training Coordinator. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development, scheduling, quality and performance of personal training programs, including individual and small group programs, as well as Cardiac Rehab programs. This role ensures exceptional member experiences by administering personal training programs, managing personal training staff, maintaining program standards and records, driving participation and revenue both from current members and the broader community, and supporting a safe, inclusive, and motivating fitness environment.

The Personal Training Coordinator is expected to develop their own personal training clients, and lead small group and Cardiac Rehab programs, as well as potentially select Group Fitness classes.

The position requires a flexible work schedule with some off-site programs. Rates of pay vary by program/activity. Initial expectations are 20 – 25 hours per week (approx. $35,000 per year depending on actual programs offered) increasing to 35 hours a week ($50,000 range) hopefully within a 3-to-6-month period. Position to commence as soon as possible.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in a related-field such as Kinesiology, Fitness and Health Promotion (or equivalent experience)
• Current valid personal training certification from a recognized organization
• Group fitness floor certification
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in personal training and/or small group fitness
