Ducon is looking for a Full Time Lead Carpenter to join their team

Job Responsibilities

• Run day to day operations on construction site and manage short-term and long-term schedules
• Work with Project Manager prior to being on site and on an ongoing basis to determine what will be required to complete projects
• Procurement and on-time delivery of materials for projects
• Organize deliveries with the Project Manager
• Work with the building department officials to get complete inspection approvals and certificate of occupancy
• Oversee the project’s fieldwork process from beginning to end

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years carpentry experience
• Completion of High School and/or College, Vocational or Technical training
• Ontario red seal Certification or Carpenter License
• Valid Safety certifications Working at Heights & Elevated Work Platform
• Valid Drivers License and vehicle to get to and from work sites
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations
• Thorough knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools
• Able to work with tools efficiently
• Excellent demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent demonstrated organizational, time management, judgment and decision-making skills
• Able to read and interpret plans, drawings, and blueprints
• Strong mathematical skills
• High level of personal integrity
• Carry out skilled carpentry work for new renovation projects from foundation to finishes
