Laundry Attendant

Located in the heart of Prince Edward County, Isaiah Tubbs Resort & Conference Centre offers a unique blend of hospitality, natural beauty, and exceptional guest experiences. Our team is dedicated to providing outstanding service in a welcoming and collaborative environment.

We are currently seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure linens and laundry are cleaned, organized, and ready to meet the needs of our guests.

Work Schedule: Seasonal work from the end of May to Mid-October. Hours vary based on hotel occupancy. Working days include weekends and holidays. Hours per week and start times to be negotiated with Housekeeping Manager. Pay is $17.60/hr.

Laundry Duties:

• Filling laundry machines with correct chemical mixtures according to the laundry facility standards.
• Handling cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately.
• Washing and drying laundry according to care instructions.
• Collecting, receiving and sorting laundry
• Folding, sorting, and putting away laundry in correct areas for housekeeping to pick up.
• Picking up laundry from different buildings when housekeeping is finished cleaning rooms. Transporting the dirty linens back to the laundry building in the resort car or the resort golf carts.
• Maintaining the laundry room on a daily basis. This includes mopping, sweeping and cleaning the laundry room, as well as filling correct soaping dispensers with the type of soap required.
• Deliver clean and folded laundry to the correct buildings.
• Deliver cleaning and room supplies to the correct buildings

Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation to and from work is required
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Previous housekeeping, laundry attendant, or janitorial experience is an asset, but not required
• Punctual with strong attendance and reliability
• Able to work well with others as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
• Professional and courteous when interacting with guests
