Labourer

Marquise Construction is looking for a motivated General Labourer who is eager to learn and contribute to the construction of premium custom homes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a clean and organized job site, and is interested in developing skills in the trades. You will work alongside carpenters and site supervisors, supporting day-to-day construction activities. For the right candidate, this position offers a pathway to a carpentry apprenticeship within our company.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily site setup, cleanup, and organization
• Load, unload, and move construction materials efficiently
• Support carpenters with basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and preparing materials
• Operate basic tools safely (with training provided)
• Maintain strict safety standards to ensure a clean and hazard-free worksite
• Follow directions and work collaboratively with the site team

Requirements:

• Strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation to job sites across Prince Edward County
• Positive attitude and a genuine interest in the construction industry
