Housekeepers

Job Summary

The Housekeeper will have a heart for Christian ministry.Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager the Housekeeper will ensure that all accommodations and indoor facilities remain clean and ready for use.They will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, cleaning washrooms, porta-potties and showers, and doing laundry on a daily basis.They should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.

Housekeeper Responsibilities

• Ensure all indoor & outdoor public facilities are cleaned to Wesley Acres standards and acceptable for public use
• Ensure all accommodations are cleaned to Wesley Acres standards and ready for the arrival of guests
• Clean and stock restrooms & porta-potties
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Assist guests when necessary
• Keep linen room stocked

• Any other duties as assigned and requested by Housekeeping Manager, Executive Director or Administrative Services Manager

Work Conditions

• Average 25 – 30 hours per week (Ranging from 24 – 36 hours/week) on rotating shift
• Any day of the week including Saturday, Sunday & holidays
• Interaction with employees, management, and the public at large
• Physically demanding tasks, standing and moving for long periods of time 

Housekeeper Requirements

• Ability to adhere to and abide by the Statements of Faith of the Free Methodist Church in Canada when on duty and/or representing Wesley Acres
• Ability to promote the Christian mission of Wesley Acres through words and actions when on duty and/or representing Wesley Acres

• Previous cleaning experience would be considered an asset

Dress Code

• Wesley Acres Inc. staff t-shirts
• Capris or long pants (with no holes) – no shorts
• Closed toe/closed heel shoes – absolutely no open toe/heel sandals or Crocs
