Little’s Welding and Machine Shop L.W.M.S. Ltd., located in Campbellford, are looking to hire a Full Time – Front Office/Operations Clerk.
Company Overview
Little’s Welding and Machine Shop was established in 1977 and is a steel fabricating facility with full scale millwrighting services and CWB W47.1 certification. We specialize in the hydroelectric industry, installing and maintaining hydroelectric turbines, as well as design/build services for all steel components involved (trash racks, gates, catwalks, railing, stop logs, etc). Our job shop utilizes both CNC machines as well as conventional machining equipment, such as lathes and mills. We are a rapidly growing job shop with lots of opportunity for advancement that is looking for the right individuals to add to our team.
Summary
The Front Office / Operations Clerk is responsible for front-desk coverage and clerical support for office and operations functions. This role focuses on call handling, customer reception, data entry, and basic inventory and receiving tasks.
Job Description:
- Answering incoming phone calls, direct calls to appropriate parties, and taking accurate messages
- Greet and assist walk-in customers and visitors
- Complete sales of safety gear, nuts, and bolts
- Review and record employee timesheets and assign to appropriate job numbers
- Record inbound materials and purchases to the appropriate job numbers
- Utilize Sage 50 as follows:
- Issue Sales Order numbers for incoming jobs
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers as requested
- Complete Post Office runs and sort inbound mail
- Maintain store inventory of safety supplies and hardware
- Receive inbound packages, verify contents, and match to supplier invoices
- Other jobs as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Professional, punctual, and reliable
Additional Information:
Please note that our facility is a manufacturing environment, where noise and dust are part of the day to day working conditions, along with exposure to heavy machinery.
- $20-$23 an hour

- Full-time, 36+ Hours per week
- Straight day shift: Monday to Thursday: 8am to 4:30pm; Friday 8am to 12noon
