Title: Extended Hours Camp Guest Artist/Instructor
Role Type: Part-Time Contract Position (up to 4 weeks, set schedule)
Reports To: Program Director
Renumeration: $45/hr, 17hours/week, 5 days/week (weekdays only).
Mandatory Training: May or June
Official Start Date: July 3, 2026
Set Work Dates: Must be available from 3 – 5:30pm on July 6 – 10 & Aug 17 – 21 in Picton; July 13 – 17 in Ameliasburgh; Aug 10-14 in Bloomfield.
General Description: This position is for our Yogis camps, designed and run by Miss T (Tarayn Hiddink of Magical Movement). This is a pilot project where camps will be extended until 5pm. The Guest Artist or Instructor must be comfortable with leading activities at camp, including nature walks, free play, and crafts. Camp venues will be tidied and organized at the end of each day. Guest Artists / Instructors will also have 1 – 2 Camp Assistants on site to help with activities, clean up and camper Pick Up.
Duties:
- Leading fun, engaging and safe activities for campers from 3pm-5pm
- Facilitate safe pick up of campers at 5pm
- Tidy up camp venue and supplies
Qualifications:
- Be able to work at any camp location (Picton, Bloomfield, Ameliasburgh)
- Be engaging and enthusiastic, and display a welcoming attitude
- Love working with children, and have experience working with diverse children, including those with behavioural issues.
- Applicants who are over 18 must have, or be willing to get, a Vulnerable Sector Check with the OPP (letter to be provided and cost will be reimbursed)
- Have a current CPR/First Aid certification
