Driver

Outpost Packaging in Hastings, are looking to hire a FULL TIME, Driver for their Hastings location.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Load and unload goods from truck

Work directly with customer staff on delivery

Help plan and drive route as efficiently as possible

Keep paperwork legible and organized

Assist to resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between other departments when necessary

Learn and be knowledgeable about the products provided and the day-to-day operations of the company

Requirements:

Valid Ontario G license

Minimum 5 years experience operating a heavy truck

High school diploma or GED required

Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills

Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Able to work well under pressure

Strong attention to detail

Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

Professional appearance and manners

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Working Requirements:

Physical position – must be capable of loading goods on and off vehicle

Overtime as required

Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required

Sitting for extended periods
