Position Summary:
As the Dinning and Events manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests receive outstanding service throughout their dining experience. You will lead a team of servers and support staff while maintaining high standards of hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest service, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements outlined in the employee manual.
- Foster positive, professional relationships with fellow team members by promoting effective communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork to ensure a safe, respectful, and harassment-free workplace.
- Supervise, assist, and support all Front of House (FOH) team members to deliver exceptional service.
- Assist in recruiting, training, orienting, and disciplining FOH employees to uphold high standards of performance and professionalism.
- Promote productivity and efficiency throughout the Food and Beverage (F&B) department.
- Oversee all catering areas during meal and non-meal periods, with particular attention to peak hours and special event timelines to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Enforce sanitary practices for safe food handling and uphold cleanliness standards in all FOH areas.
- Foster teamwork, communication, and mutual respect to maintain a positive working environment.
- Utilize creativity to enhance service delivery and operational efficiencies.
- Manage all aspects of meetings, banquets, weddings, and events, including setup, teardown, presentation, and meeting group requirements.
- Ensure all furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) are clean, well-maintained, and fully operational.
- Support event planning by providing input and assistance to ensure successful execution.
- Meet with group coordinators to understand and fulfill meeting requirements effectively.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to all guests, visitors, and employees.
- Create memorable experiences that exceed guest expectations by incorporating personalized touches, proactive service, and attention to detail.
- Provide guidance to Food & Beverage Servers to ensure service quality is consistently maintained.
- Maintain working knowledge of operational equipment, including voicemail systems, POS machines, and other relevant tools.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in department-related computer programs.
Requirements:
- Smart Serve Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management or related degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong understanding of front of house operations and service standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid Smart Serve certification is required.
- Comfortable lifting up 50 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods during shifts.
- Performing repetitive tasks, bending, lighting, and stairs.
Additional Information and How to Apply:
Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week (part time/full time)
