Customer Service Representative

Our growing business is looking for a skilled problem solver to join our team as a Customer Service Representative.

We need an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customer service issues and then offer a unique innovative solution to each problem.

The successful candidate for this role will have a strong command of customer service policies and be well trained in transportation related knowledge that can be critical in offering quick and accurate assistance to customers.

As a Customer Service Representative you will:

• Communicate directly with customers either by telephone or electronically.
• Respond promptly to customer complaints.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints.
• Accurately input customer orders (Order Entry).
• Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle service inquiries.
• Provide delivery information.
• Monitor trucks in transit to head off potential problems.
• Perform customer verifications (loads running on time, etc.)
• Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resources.
• Keep records of customer interactions.
• Maintain customer data bases.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or an equivalent with post-secondary education in administration and or business.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
• A working knowledge of MSWord, MSOffice, Excel. Previous knowledge of AS400 would be considered an asset.
• Proven experience in a transportation company office environment.
