Picton Golf and Country Club is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, efficient, and team-oriented cooking environment and enjoys creating casual, crowd-pleasing food for a loyal golf clientele.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and plate meals in a timely and consistent manner

  • Complete daily food prep and service responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with food safety standards

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff

  • Assist with menu planning and design, contributing creative ideas for a casual, golf-inspired menu

  • Ensure quality, portion control, and presentation standards are met

  • Support a positive, respectful, and team-inspired kitchen culture

 


Qualifications:

  • Valid Food Handler’s Certificate (required)

  • Previous restaurant cooking experience (required)

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Passion for food, consistency, and quality service

  • Experience with casual dining menus is considered an asset

  • Dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining kitchen standards
