Brake Press Operator

Quest-Tech Inc. was formed in 1982 to supply custom sheet metal parts and assemblies to discerning clients throughout North America and abroad who expect the best concerning quality, lead times, and overall value. Operating out of a large modern 80,000 square foot facility, we provide a complete range of fabrication and finishing services including shearing, laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, painting (wet/powder), silk screening, assembly, and custom packaging.

We are currently seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our team.  As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating the Brake Press machine to bend, form and fabricate metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.

Duties:

• Operate Amada CNC Brake Press and other machinery used in the production process or assist other machine operators.
• Select proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type.
• Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use.
• Consistently produce usable products that meet dimensional specifications of engineered drawings.
• Read work orders and tag product as required.
• Lift materials, final products and items packed for shipment, manually up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Keep all work areas clean and organized.
• Work in compliance with all ISO and OHSA and company standards, following all safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience working with sheet metal
• Minimum 2 years experience on brake press
• Able to read blueprints

Additional Information:

• Wage: TBD – Dependent on experience
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00a.m. – 3:30p.m.
• Benefit package offered including medical, vision, dental, RRSP, and profit sharing.
• 6-month probationary period
