We are currently looking for an Agronomy Operator to add to our team.
Essential Job Functions:
Working out of the Picton Branch this position will see you running custom application equipment (Vector & Sprayers) for the Spring planting season and working in the branch shop or another CFC Department outside of that time. Some of daily job functions may include:
Applying fertilizer to fields and growing crops according to recommended rates and procedures. Records application data according to regulations and standards. In time, may learn how to safely apply crop protection products.
Blending fertilizer, weighing tanks, assisting in inventory pre-listing and physical counting, as required. Loading and unloading containers, pallets, or materials and products coming in for delivery.
Following the regular, preventative and seasonal maintenance programs on custom application equipment and vehicles clean to maintain professional appearance.
Transports custom blended fertilizers, chemicals, seed, and various equipment and ensures all associated documentation, including bills of lading, shipping tickets are accurate and completed according to schedule.
Performs a combination of Branch Maintenance mowing, trimming and yard clean up etc.
Working as part of the CFC team, insures that company objectives, customer service levels, employee relations and inter- branch relations are improved and promoted.
Other duties as required by other CFC Departments.
Requirements:
- Possess a High school diploma, college diploma, or equivalent, or a combination of experience and training to provide the required knowledge and skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and possess a driving abstract that represents a history of safe operation, as well as the ability to maintain insurability.
- A valid A/Z or DZ license would be a strong asset.
- Any prior experience with Custom Application Equipment would be a strong asset.
- Will be required to work extended hours, particularly during peak seasons.
- Proven ability to work independently, and in a team-oriented environment, and achieve results through others.
