Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in account reconciliation, and supporting various accounting functions. This role offers and opportunity to work with a dynamic team and utilize a range of accounting software to maintain the financial health of the organization. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining compliance, preparing financial reports, and supporting budgeting and auditing processes.

Duties

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
• Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft and others
• Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Conduct auditing activities to ensure internal controls are maintained
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records an perform account analysis for discrepancies or variance
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and systems.

Experience

• Proven experience in corporate finance or accounting rolse, preferably within a similar industry
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
• Experience with payroll processing and financial reporting
• Knowledge of auding procedures and financial services compliance standards
• Prior experience with account reconciliation, bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial statement preparation is highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
