AZ Truck Drivers

Position: Truck Driver

Seasonal employment, Full-time – 40-50 hours/week
Employment conditions: early mornings, morning, day, evening, weekends (Saturdays), flexible hours

Job Overview

Truck Drivers provide transportation of materials to different job sites. Driving to a wide range of areas, including Kingston, Picton, Belleville, Quinte West, Gananoque, and Napanee.

Credentials

●       AZ Class License

●       Driver’s license (class 1 or A)

●       Air Brake (Z)

Responsibilities & Major Tasks

·        Completing repetitive tasks

·        Handling heavy loads

·        Complete inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

·        Provide maintenance and repair reports

·        Heavy lifting required: bending, lifting, kneeling, standing, sitting for extended periods of time

·        Candidates should be able to lift 45kg (100lbs)

·        Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

·        Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections

·        Must wear hard hat and steel-toe safety boots

Qualifications

·        Valid driver’s license

·        Professionalism

·        Able to work Saturdays

·        Good verbal and written communication skills

·        Good collaboration skills – able to be part of a team

·        Experience is an asset

·        Dependable and reliable

·        Criminal record check, driver’s validity license check and driver’s record check (abstract)
