Summer Kennel Attendant (part-time)

Pay: $22.00 to start

Job Type: Part-time (about 20 hours per week)

We’re looking for a summer kennel attendant to join our team at The Loyalist Barkway, a professional dog boarding facility in Bath, Ontario.

This is a weekend and evening role — roughly 20 hours per week through the summer. You’ll work directly with dogs and their owners, handling client check-ins and check-outs, suite cleaning and sanitizing, feeding, fresh water, exercise time, and general care for our guests. Part of the job is capturing photos of the dogs during their stay—a detail our clients genuinely love.

The work is active, sometimes loud, and always rewarding if dogs are genuinely your thing.

What we’re looking for:

You have either direct experience working with animals in a professional setting, or you’re currently enrolled in (or have completed) a veterinary assistant, vet tech, or animal care program. Either path works — what matters is that you already understand animal behaviour, can read a dog’s body language, and know how to handle yourself confidently around large or multiple dogs at once.

You’ll also be a friendly, reliable face at the front door. Client-facing experience is a bonus — you don’t need a sales personality, just warmth and consistency with people who are leaving their dog in your care.

$22/hour to start

Seasonal position through summer 2026

Must be available most weekends
