We are seeking a full-time Skilled Labourer to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Foreman and crew with various residential construction tasks
- Work with hand tools and power tools on concrete finishing, tile installation, painting, drywall, framing, and finish carpentry
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Perform caulking, cabinet installation, and general site tasks
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Contribute to high-quality renovation projects from start to finish
Qualifications:
- Experience using hand and power tools in a construction setting
- Background in any of the following is a big plus: concrete finishing, tiling, drywall, painting, framing, or finish carpentry
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics
- Knowledge of residential construction practices
- Willingness to work with minimal supervision while following directions closely
- Special skills in tiling or carpentry will be given strong preference
- Experience with construction estimating or restoration is an asset
- Operating heavy equipment is a plus (but not required)
- Drivers license and reliable transportation
