Skilled Labourer

PEC Contracting brings over 21 years of experience in the construction industry and has proudly served Prince Edward County since 2019. With expertise in carpentry, commercial and residential renovations, new home builds, and finish trades, PEC Contracting is known for delivering professional service and quality results. We are seeking a full-time Skilled Labourer to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Foreman and crew with various residential construction tasks
• Work with hand tools and power tools on concrete finishing, tile installation, painting, drywall, framing, and finish carpentry
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Perform caulking, cabinet installation, and general site tasks
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Contribute to high-quality renovation projects from start to finish

Qualifications:

• Experience using hand and power tools in a construction setting
• Background in any of the following is a big plus: concrete finishing, tiling, drywall, painting, framing, or finish carpentry
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics
• Knowledge of residential construction practices
• Willingness to work with minimal supervision while following directions closely
• Special skills in tiling or carpentry will be given strong preference
• Experience with construction estimating or restoration is an asset
• Operating heavy equipment is a plus (but not required)
• Drivers license and reliable transportation
