Seasonal Custodian

The City of Quinte West invites applications for the Seasonal Custodian position. Reporting to the Manager of Facilities and/or the Head Custodian, the incumbent is responsible for the cleanliness of City-owned facilities. The position is responsible for room set-up, monitoring, performing and recommending repairs/maintenance and carrying out security functions to ensure safe, clean, tidy and well-functioning facilities

Responsibilities:

• Room set up, monitoring, performing and recommending repairs and maintenance
• Carry out security functions to ensure safe, clean , tidy and well-functioning facilities

Skills/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of custodial experience in a public facility
• Basic knowledge of the operation of heating systems and other facility equipment
• Able to obtain and maintain a level 3 security clearance
• Clear vulnerable sector check

Additional Information:

• Salary Grid Band 4 $25.57 per hour
• 40 hours per week, shifts may be scheduled on days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
