County Stage Company is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and highly organized Marketing Coordinator to join our team for the summer season through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing student or emerging arts worker to gain hands-on experience in arts marketing, audience engagement, communications, and event promotion while working closely with a professional theatre company during its busiest and most visible season.

Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator will support the promotion of County Stage Company’s 2026 summer season and related programming. Working closely with the Artistic Director and General Manager, the successful candidate will assist with the execution of marketing campaigns, audience outreach, digital content creation, and on-the-ground promotional activity across Prince Edward County.

This role is ideal for someone interested in arts administration, communications, event marketing, digital media, and the performing arts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of County Stage’s summer marketing and communications plan
  • Create and schedule engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Support the development of newsletters, e-blasts, and website updates
  • Assist in drafting promotional copy for digital and print marketing materials
  • Coordinate community outreach and promotional distribution across Prince Edward County
  • Support audience engagement initiatives and seasonal promotional campaigns
  • Assist with media tracking, community listings, and event calendar submissions
  • Capture photo/video content during rehearsals, events, and performances for marketing use
  • Support front-of-house promotional presence at events and performances as needed
  • Assist with audience data collection, reporting, and marketing analysis
  • Provide general administrative support related to marketing and communications

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using social media platforms in a professional context
  • Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, or similar platforms is an asset
  • Basic photography, video editing, or graphic design skills are considered an asset
  • Interest in marketing, communications, theatre, arts and culture, or event promotion
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working occasional evenings and weekends during performances and events
  • Familiarity with Prince Edward County’s arts, tourism, or cultural community is an asset

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this position through the Canada Summer Jobs program, applicants must:

  • 30 years of age or under at the start of employment
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
  • be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
