Dietary Aide (part-time)

Hours of Work: Days, Evenings, & Weekends (as scheduled)
Salary: $24.52 to $27.79 per hour
Primary Location: The John M. Parrott Centre

What you will do:

• Portion and serve correct meals to residents and guests
• Responsible for setting and clearing tables and keeping work areas clean and sanitized
• Assist in the dishwashing process and prepare and set up daily nourishments
• Adhere to Public Health and Ministry of Health Dietary Compliance Standards
• Contribute positively to the Dietary Services Team
• All other duties as assigned

What you will bring:

• Current Safe Food Handler Certificate
• Food Service Worker Certificate (or enrollment within 3 months of start date)
• Secondary school diploma preferred
• Experience operating kitchen equipment
• Previous food server experience in a dining room setting
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of seniors’ needs
• Patience and tact with residents, guests, and staff
• Good physical health and hygiene
• Ability to lift 15 pounds and stand, walk, and bend for an entire shift
