Dance Instructor

County Acrobatics & Pure Joy Dance is a welcoming, community-focused studio dedicated to inspiring dancers of all ages and abilities. We foster a positive, encouraging environment where students can grow in skill, confidence, and creativity.

Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and reliable part-time Dance Instructor to join our team. We are especially interested in instructors experienced in acro, ballet, jazz, and hip hop, though versatility in multiple styles is a strong asset. Hours would be between 6-10hrs per week.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate dance classes for various skill levels
• Teach and demonstrate proper technique, choreography, and performance skills
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive class environment
• Prepare students for recitals, competitions, and performances
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all dancers, especially during acro instruction
• Maintain studio cleanliness and organization of equipment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and studio staff

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching dance, preferably in acro, ballet, jazz, and/or hip hop
• Strong technical foundation in one or more dance styles
• Acro certification (or willingness to obtain) is considered an asset
• Experience working with children and youth
• Ability to create choreography and structure lesson plans
• Energetic, patient, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
• Availability for evenings and/or weekends
